Heather Ajzenman OTD-OTR/L – Heather is a doctoral level Occupational Therapist trained in equine-assisted occupational therapy. She is also a certified DIRFloortime® Basic Certified provider through the Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning (ICDL). Heather offers equine-assisted occupational therapy including incorporation of hippotherapy at a local farm. She currently sits on two boards regarding research and continued development of integrating hippotherapy into practice, including the American Hippotherapy Association Board and the Horse and Human Research Foundation Scientific Advisory Council. Heather published a study in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy in 2013 on hippotherapy and children with autism spectrum disorders.
