Annie is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with 12 years of clinical experience. She co-owns New England Pediatric Services along with her esteemed business partner, Cass Chapman.

Annie graduated from West Virginia University with a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology. She had the opportunity to study under nationally renowned Dennis Ruscello Phd.,CCC-SLP during her time at WVU.

Annie has worked with children across the country including New England, West Virginia, Atlanta, and South Central Los Angeles.

She follows a “whole child” philosophy and enjoys working closely with family members, school teams, and other service providers to create a collaborative model of support for the children and families she serves.Though she has worked with many populations, Annie’s particular area of clinical interest is Selective Mutism. Annie had the privilege of mentoring under Joleen Fernald,, a Speech-Language Pathologist and Selective Mutism expert for four years. Annie is thrilled to be trained in Joleen’s DIR® Floortime™ Model of intervention for Selective Mutism. Annie is also privileged to have taken numerous trainings through the Selective Mutism Association from world-recognized experts in SM, Steve Kurtz Ph.D., Rachel Busman Psy.D., Aimee Kortrba Ph.D. and many more.

Annie is the Selective Mutism Association (SMA) State Coordinator for NH and ME She leads a Selective Mutism parent support group.The meetings are free and open and to any family who has a child with SM. Annie also leads an online parent group for the families she serves.

In addition to directing the Selective Mutism Clinic within New England Pediatric Services, Annie provides a variety of consultative supports, in-services, and trainings to local schools.

Annie’s clinical experiences include early supports and services for birth-three, preschool, elementary-middle-high school settings, out-patient clinics, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, The West Virginia University Hospital Cleft Palate Clinic and West Virginia University Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing Clinic. Annie had the unique opportunity to mentor under Linda Gould, a Speech-Language Pathologist and Augmentative Communication guru in New Hampshire.

Annie loves working with all ages. She has experience working with children ages nine months – eighteen years of age and with adults 20 -104 years of age. Annie is passionate about her field and about helping people to find their voices. She feels that the ability to communicate is a beautiful gift.

Annie is a certified yoga instructor and is also trained in Reiki. Yoga helps Annie to stay balanced in her work and in her life.

Annie lives with her husband, Gary, and their rescue pup, Quincy, in Portsmouth, NH. In her free time, she enjoys reading books on mindfulness, alternative medicine, spirituality, running at Mount Agamenticus, practicing yoga, and watching movies with her husband.
